Cycle diversity.

Present Lisbon as a cycling city and help promote Velo-City to an international audience. The communication needed a clear civic purpose, a sense of place and the energy of a city in motion.

I developed the original concept and copy, set the creative direction and led casting, production and film direction. I also edited the film. The schedule ran from pitch to delivery in two weeks, requiring the creative and production decisions to work together from the outset.

The film was used internationally to promote the event. It later became part of the opening of the 2021 edition, when I was also commissioned to develop event-screen visuals using footage and motion graphics.

EMEL won the video category at the APCE 2020 awards with Velo-City. The client’s published record confirms the award.
